A Country Within

Three years ago, I went to Greece and my life changed.  So I wrote about it.

You can buy the book here or order from your local book store.  https://www.amazon.com/Country-Within-Journey-During-Refugee/dp/0999589601/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1519600619&sr=1-1

Whatever you might think of my personal story or my prose, the stories in A Country Within — about the refugees, the Greeks and volunteers, and the geopolitics — are important.

If you don’t read my book, read someone else’s. Read news reports. Talk to people. Consider helping out by volunteering, donating or promoting humanitarian policy.

The 26 million people in today’s world who have been displaced by war and environmental disasters deserve our understanding, compassion and action. They could be you. They could be your kids. They were probably your ancestors.

Love is all you need.

  1. Congratulations on your book Kim! I’m about halfway through and it’s really good. It has made me feel more connected to your experience.

The stories you share are from the heart. And that’s what this refugee saga is about imho.

  2. Kim, Congratulations on a major achievement. Your blog brought all these stories very close to my heart. I’ve ordered my copy and really look forward to reading it.

  3. Ordered and excited to read it! Sometimes I just wonder how we manage to stay alive. There is so much strife and suffering in the world and we are so lucky. I want to be you when I grow up. Love you Kim!
